2nd semester - session 1 - wearables

Definition of wearables:
Wikipedia: Wearables are clothing and accessories incorporating computer and advanced electronic technologies. The designs often incorporate practical functions and features.
Other: Wearables are technology devices supposed to be attached to the human body or clothing that allows the wearer to monitor, engage with, and control device, themselves, or their social network.



Idea of wearable: Kids watch
- wearable digital watch for kids safety
- GPS connected to parent's device

- the main objective is to ensure the children's safety during his/hers way to school.
-the watch offers the possibility for the parents to stay aware of their children's location.
- alert system activated by a simple touch if child finds him/herself in any dangerous situation (kidnapping, hostage, accident, fire etc...)

It would be connected to a mobile device such as tablet or smartphone. Upon activation, parents can record up to five numbers that can stay connected at all times with the bracelet wearer. Behind the dial is hiding a GPS tag, which facilitate the location of the holder carrier through a tracking system by triangulation through three signals: the GPS itself, the telephone network and wireless access points. Once intersected, the information used to determine the child's position. So parents will receive notification on arrival as at the exit of the child from the school.An alert when the child go beyond the "security perimeter" established in advance by the parents.During configuration of the watch, it is possible to determine the "safe areas": home, school, gym, etc. Result, when the child moves away from one of these places, parents are immediately notified and are able to follow his movements directly through the mobile application (available on iPhone and Android).
